Eruption (PeachNCherries)

Kira throws his cell phone across the room and watches it break into pieces as it makes contact with his opposite wall. It left a small dent but he did not care. At this point, if he heard one thing about his dad, he might actually kill him self. He feels he needs to tell Rina that he had killed the bastard but he also can't; cause there is no way in hell she will go out with a murderer.

Kira presses a button on his stereo and the song Boulevard of Broken Dreams blares out, as the music plays Kira beats his heavy bag with his fists, elbows, feet, and knees. As he makes contact with the bag with his left elbow he feels his skin break and watches the blood slowly trickle from the effected area.

Kira sighs and continues on killing his pad. Suddenly he feels a sudden burst of emotion. One of fear. As he tries to regain emotion, he drops to the floor. All the while he is seeing images of all the beatings and abuse, until suddenly for the first time he saw all the events of that day, and for the first time saw the blade pierce the skin. Kira shout "so much blood, Im sorry!".

"Kira?" Rina could have sworn she heard him. She looked up from her workbook and took a look around the hallway she was in. She had decided to wait for Rexel to get out of detention on the first floor of the dorms, but as time passed she settled down and began to study.

She hadn't seen Kira since the dance, and she felt utterly lonely without him around. She wondered if he had somehow forgotten about her.

At the sound of something smashing she closed her book and got up off the floor, intent on finding the cause of all the ruckus.

The sounds of violence grew louder as she neared room 101 and she momentarily thought about going to find an administrator.

Summoning her courage she raised her hand and knocked on the door.

"Hello? Is everything all right in there?" She asked through the strong wood.

Kira picks himself off of his floor at the voice of Rina. He walks towards the door, forgetting he was bleeding. Kira walks towards the door and opens it. Kira still fearing the fear of the memory opens the door and smiles at Rina.

His face was flush and if someone looked into his eyes they would see terror; but otherwise he looked perfectly normal. "hey, what brings a hot thing like you to my wreck of a dorm". Kira swallowed and held the door fully and asks "would you like to come in?".

Rina could hardly recognize the boy before her.

"Kira?" She asked pushing her way towards him and placing her hands around his face, "You look like death!"

Something was seriously wrong with him right now but she didn't know what it was. She looked him over and noticed his wounds and new "trophies" as her sister would often affectionately call them. Then she saw the blood.

"Dear God, Kira! You're bleeding! And you're covered in new wounds... What happened?" She asked, her violet eyes brimming with tears and he voice trembling. She didn't know what was going on but she knew it was something big.

She pushed him back into his room, and turned to look about it once she had managed to get him to sit on his bed. As she ignored the mess she turned and asked him, "Where's your first aid kit?"

She had long ago learned that Kira was never eager to go to the nurse with his wounds. No matter how serious they might have been.

Kira smiles meekly and says "we probably should have a little chat about me". The word that came out of his mouth scared the hell out of him but it also makes him fell a little stressed.

Kira sighs and says "it is next to the heavy bag, but these are nothing. As for my elbow, it is nothing time wont take care of".

As Kira sat on his bed he looked around and hit a button on a remote laying in the middle of the bed, shutting off the music.

Kira looks around at the mess in his room and feels a little bit embarrassed; but the fear of what he is about to tell Rina hid it quite well.

Rina walks over to retrieve the small white box, then turns her attention to Kira. She kneels down in front of him and opens the box, beginning to work on his bleeding elbow.

"What did you want to talk about?" She asks, not looking at him. She focused intently on his wounds, not wanting to make them worst by diverting her attention elsewhere.

Kira sighs and says "well actually it is two things. The second however depends on the answer to the first". Kira feels her taking care of his wounds and wonders why she would help and be so nice to a person like him. He was broken and useless.

"I do not know if I have showed it, but I like you more then just as a friend. Do you want to properly go out? I know I am not exactly the best, but I do like you" Kira says. Once he realizes how stupid and confident what he said sounded he stammers and says "w-w-what I'm trying to ask is will you be my girlfriend?".

Kira waits for an answer and tries to formulate how to explain his past and his dad if she says yes. "you know you do not have to keep helping me with my scrapes and bruises" Kira says.

Rina's beautiful cream skin went to the deepest tomato red humanly possible and she couldn't quite seem to control her heart-rate anymore. After a few seconds she managed to mumble.

"It's alright," She says, "I'm happy to help." then she forces herself to look up at him, "And I'd be happy to be your girlfriend."

She then looses her nerve and goes back to tending his wound, suddenly very self-conscious of herself.

Kira smiles broadly at this but then come back down to earth, realizing that he has to follow through or else he will mess up any chance any chance of a steady relationship with her.

Kira sighs and says "my scratches can wait. sit down for a second, there are some things you need to know about me". Kira removes his shirt. Most of his scars had already been seen by Rina, but the large ones were not seen cause they are in front of him.

Kira tells his story,and explains why he is touchy about abuse and people treating girls like shit. He also explains why he took up martial arts but stops to take a breath before what happened between him and his father.

"sorry if this seems like too much too soon, but something tells me if I do not say this now, we will not last" Kira say somberly.

Rina sits patiently, listening intently to what he says, ans when he finishes she remains silent. She doesn't know what to say...

She opens her mouth to try to say something but closes it soon after. She shifts her position but otherwise keeps still and silent.

She's not sure what to do now. She knows she cares about him, but she is not sure on how she is supposed to proceed.

Kira suddenly decides to hold off on the final part, noticing Rina's reaction. While this ate at him, the thought of looseing some one he had just gotten would hurt even worse. He smiles at the girl next to him and puts his shirt back on.

Kira wraps his elbow and then walks towards where Rina got the first aid kit and pulls our a spray and a lapped towel. He sprays the bag and cleans it.

As he does, he feels his cheeks and body get hotter, as what had just happened sunk in. Kira laughed a little and all traces if his fear was gone, what it was replaced with was a new emotion. Euphoria.

Rina smiles, then leans over to rest her head on Kira's shoulder. She couldn't think of a way to put her feelings into words but she hoped that her actions would transmit to the boy that currently held her heart.

Kira smiles and wraps his arm around Rina's shoulder. Her emotions were transfered perfectly, she did not really have to say a word to get them across. He smiles and looks at his room, realising it is her first time in it. Every time they were in a dorm, it was her and Rexel's dorm.
With a small smile, Kira notices a pair of boxers sitting next to him and quickly moves them behind the the bed.

Rina noticed him move, but didn't see what it was he quickly hid away. She shook her head to clear her mind before settling down and looked towards Kira before asking, "So what was the other topic you'd like to talk about?"

Kira laughs a little and says "well, on the day we met, we never actually got to finish our meal, so would you like to go back and actually have a date that involves dessert?". Kira remembers his delicious tuna steak that he had left in order to follow Rina and see why she had abruptly left.

Rina blushed hotly at the memory, and looked away.

"Sorry about that." She then shifted in her seat again, "But dessert sounds lovely right now."

Kira watches Rina blush and then apologise for what had happened. "well it ain't exactly your fault " he says. As he talks, he removes his arm and ilooks at the pieces of phone laying next to the wall. "do you mind of we stop at a phone store while we are there".

Kira did not regret busting up his old one, it was out of date and a pain sometimes. Kira smiles a little at the idea of dessert.
