Empty Classroom

Rina had, by some miracle, managed to make her way into the classroom, only to realize that it was the wrong room. Utterly exhausted from her trek from the dorm to the classroom wing she really didn't want to double back. Her absence from the school had left her brain utterly fried to the point that she couldn't tell what day of the week it currently was.

Taking a seat in the nearby empty desk she let every muscle in her body relax and sighed a mix of agony and satisfaction.

How much had she missed since she and Rexel had gone?

How much work did she have waiting for her from her teachers?

How had Kira been doing?

Her heart suddenly dropped into her stomach at that thought. She hadn't even managed to tell him where she had gone or why. In all honesty she didn't have the time between all her classes and work and training to talk to him much since the dance and her guilt couldn't be weighing any heavier on her heart at the moment.

Before she had know it was time to go to the camp.

She leaned forward and put her head on the desk, letting out a deep sigh. She wanted to see him, but at the same time she didn't know how he would react to her sudden disappearance.

Kira walks into the class room a few seconds after Rina, he had missed her while she was off at camp, but managed to stay busy planning to open a martial arts class at the school, that does not focus on all of the forms and stuff to that nature, but one that would be more fit for the females of the school, one that was meant to get you in and out alive, basically Krav Maga.

Kira walks towards the seat next to Rina and pulls it out, sitting next to her and gives her a slight hug and asks "how have you been?". Kira was slightly confused as to where they stand cause they have not managed to form a relationship, and yet he has seen her half naked and been a shoulder for her on several occasions.

At the moment Kira is wearing his training pants and if Rina notices, there is a patch on it, that is new and it says "G1". It is the equivalent of earning a black belt in Karate, except there is still several levels to rise in order to become a true expert.

She jumped up at the sudden sensation of being touched, not even aware that someone had entered, but when she looked and saw a familiar face she somehow forgot all about her body's suffering condition and tackled the boy beside her.

Unfortunately she over estimated her velocity and managed to knock them both from their seats to the floor. She was so happy to see him and immediately began to hug him fiercely.

"Kira! I missed you!" She was so lost in the moment that she completely forgot about everything else or that fact that she could be crushing the boy beneath her or that he might have been harmed in the short fall to the linoleum.

Kira grins slightly at the reaction of Rina, then the next thing he knows, he is lying on the floor, the only reason the back of his head is not bleeding on the floor is cause he reacted and kept it up.

As the girl sits on top of him, Kira smiles and notices that his hands are pinned by her, so he can not really give her a true hug or anything but he does say "missed you Rina, how was camp?".

At the sound of his voice, Rina realizes the position she had placed them in and quickly scrambles off of the boy.

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" She says with a horrible pink dusting spreading from her hair line to her neck.

"Camp was... was... camp..?" She suddenly wants to smack herself for her own lovely eloquence.

She tries to hide her face behind her hands as she looks at Kira, ashamed that she put him in such an awkward position. She really wasn't sure what to do now...

Kira chuckles and hugs Rina properly and says "you know, it should be a crime to hide a face like that". Kira peels back her hands and gives her a peck on the cheek.

"did you have fun?" Kira asks the girl in front of him and stands up, noticing that Rina was blushing and smiled to himself, for some reason he thought she was even cuter when she was blushing.

Rina blushed darker at his comment but kept her hand away from her face, and smiled.

"We'll, to be honest it was the worst experience of my life and I'm not looking forward to it again." She told him as she pulled herself off the ground. She then turned stunning violet eyes towards Kira.

"How about you? Anything interesting happen while Rex and I were away?" And while she asked, she unconsciously gave his hand an encouraging squeeze. She smiled when she finally noticed that Kira hadn't let go of her hand.

Kira feels his hand get squeezed and squeezes back, with just as much pressure and releases. Kira then maneuverer's his hands so that their fingers interlock and holds their hands up. "Sorry about camp sucking" Kira hypocritically says.

"well I managed to rank up and I am thinking of starting a dojo here at Inu since the martial arts program sucks and probably will get some one killed" Kira say with a slight laugh, he is going to try and get Rina to join. It might keep her a bit safer around Axel.

"Really? Wow! That sounds like it'd be fun!" She beams brightly, she was never one for violence (that was Rexel's forte) but she wasn't above learning some basic moves for self-defense.

"Would you mind if I joined? I might even tell Rex to come too! I'm sure she'd love it!"

As she felt her fingers become interlaced into Kira's, she couldn't help but feel her heart flutter against her chest. She wasn't sure if it was alright to be feeling like this with a boy she had only know for such a short time but she still couldn't help herself either.

She glanced down at their hands and then looked back to Kira.

"Um, Kira... I have a question to ask you..."

She straightened her back slightly as she prepared to ask him, but knew that it would be best if she did this sooner rather than later.

"What... What am I to you?"

Kira smiles a little and says "it is and it is not, the reward for being able to do it made it fun". Kira remembers his G1 test and feels a slight twinge of pain in his arm.

"I would love for you to join, though I have to warn you; when ever you come in, I will push you harder then you probably ever have been pushed in your life" Kira says with a tone of seriousness; for some reason when he taught, he tended to be a lot more serious then usual.

Kira looks at Rina in the eye and sighs slightly, he knew this question would get asked sooner or later, and he was hoping for later, cause questions like these usually lead to questions about the past, the last topic Kira would like to talk about.

"Well, to me you are everything I want in a girl and then some; you are pretty, caring, smart, sexy, and truthfully a person I would love to start a relationship with if that would be okay with you" Kira says, trying not to screw up and say something stupid.

From peach, to pink to full blown tomato red spread across Rina's face as Kira's question sank in and she could swear somewhere in the great big universe a choir was singing some stupid song about love.

She turned her eyes downward to look at her shoes that she suddenly found very interesting, and she began trembling slightly.

She had never been asked out before, and really didn't know how to act now.

"You...Y-You really mean that?" She asked, her already sore legs beginning to feel like jelly. She hated feeling so weak, stupid and frail but she really just couldn't help herself. If he was being serious, this would go down as the happiest day of her life so far.

She was hoping that this wasn't a dream and that she wouldn't just wake up to find herself back at the (evil) training camp (from hell).

Kira watches as the girl of his dreams turn beat red and smiles a little, for some reason, she seemed even cuter now then she did a few seconds ago.

Kira places his free hand under Rina's chin and pushes up slightly and says "yes I do". Now Kira Moves in slightly, his face, about six inches from hers.

Kira feeling a little brave gets a little closer and whispers "happy you cam home?" and interlocks his fingers with her other hand.

Rina couldn't breathe. She couldn't think.

He was so close... So very close...

As her head buzzed and her heart thumped she felt like she would pass out. All the blood in her body had to be running all to her face and she couldn't stand it.

"O-Okay." She mumbled lamely, her brain unable to function accordingly at the moment.

Kira kisses Rina's forehead and pulls back before saying "you know, we never really got to dance at the dance".

Kira had in fact made a fool of himself and only regained any respect by doing a kata in time with the mortal kombat theme song.

"would you care to skip the rest of your classes and go on a proper date with me?" Kira asks, this is a legitimate question considering their dates never go well, or ever end on a note that does not end in Kira being a shoulder for Rina and wanting to kill Axel.

Rina wanted so desperately to say yes to him, but her body at that one particular moment decided to remind her that it was dead tired and wanted nothing more than to lay down and recover.

"I'd love to but, I think it might have to be an unconventional date." She told him honestly.

"My body's killing me at the moment and I want nothing more than to just go to my dorm and relax, however... If... if it's not so forward or daring, would you like to come over and have some tea and treats?"

Her face was once again beet red, but at this point her muscles were not going to make it anywhere else in the building and she knew it. Let alone the island...

Just then an unexpected voice started to emanate through the class room. If they dared to find the source they would have seen a small crab in the aquarium towards the back of the classroom was singing.
