Valentine's Day Dance (2011)

Nigel was busy with last minute preparations for the dance. From outside a lot of shouting could be heard a few loud crashes and angry shouts were also heard from within. As the day drew on and the deadline drew ever closer, the shouts and loud noises slowly diminished and stopped altogether.

Once everything was just right, Nigel threw open the double doors for the eager students enter the ballroom. Once inside the students would notice that there were tables around the outside edges of the central dance floor and several waiters waiting to take people's orders. On each table a menu could be found. There were many streamers floating through the air near the ceiling that were colored red and white. Roses decorated the windows and rose petals had been sprinkled over everything.

Nigel stood in the doorway and bowed. "Welcome to Inu Private High's Valentine's Day Dance!" With that, the orchestra began to play.

Katie raised her hands and stood dumbfounded as people ran past her. Couple started dancing. Katie just waited as people got their pushing done. Katie just sighed and walked inside. She wore a floral pattern dress, with braclets along her right arm and a bow tie necklace. Katie's hair as pulled back into a ponytail high atop her head. Her heels showed her sky blue painted toes and were quite tall. She walked in and the music played as teens danced and kissed in the corner. She sat down on the bench and watched tapping her foot to the music.

She had seen the large crowd at a faraway distance, and thought it best to stay back until everyone entered. Once it had thinned down to a trickle Natsuki began to make her way to the door.

Natsuki was a bit self-conscious since she was wearing a dress, and dresses weren't her thing. But she wore it because Jersey had bought and sent it for her Christmas. And she couldn't bring herself to not wear it.

It was a pretty dress. One that Natsuki thought had more beauty than her. The dress was an attractive shade of blue, and made of soft but tough material.

Its length came down an inch above her knee, but was still considered modest. The best part though was that the skirt was sort of flow-like and easy to move in. And the top part had a one shoulder strap that was decorated with a silver diamond brooch.

Natsuki also wore silver strapped pumps that blended well with her dress. And the only jewelry she had on was the silver bracelet, necklace, and earrings that came with the dress.

She walked in and stood in a corner. Everyone seemed to have outdone themselves (well, at least the women were). Other girls her age had their faces prettied up with dashes of blush, eye-liner, and lipstick while Natsuki remained make-up free.

If Natsuki had any experience with make-up she would have put on some, but she wasn't.

White walked into the dance amongst the mob and found a seat in a dark corner of the ballroom. It was all rather rambunctious and White didn't have any real intention of dancing with the rest of the students and he would probably go largely unnoticed until his date arrived and he made his move that is. Well, he wasn't exactly his date but, nobody else would be dancing with him that evening.

White ordered a steak from the menu and ate in silence, waiting for the red headed boy to arrive. Dressed in a black button up shirt and black dress pants and black high tops and his signature black trench coat, White watched the other students laughing and dancing and, in general, having fun.

Aksel walked into the large and beautifully decorated room and sighed. He really didn't know WHY he hadn't just gone to find the twins and gotten the hell out of here when he had the chance. He could have left and he probably should have but something forced him to just leave the director's office and go straight to his dorm.

He hadn't even gone to check on the girls.

Something was seriously wrong her and he knew it. He watched the mass sea of students running around, dancing and enjoying themselves overall. But he was looking for someone. He needed to find her and now, he wasn't going to wait any longer.

Nigel stood up and turned around as the students flooded into the ballroom. He walked among and through them, making sure everyone was having a good time. The previous night seemingly a distant memory. He was laughing and joking with the students as though he were one himself.

White saw his man walk in the door looking rather confused. Ah, there you are. he thought to himself. He took one last sip of his drink before walking over to him. "Hi. My name is white." He bowed to Aksel. "You must be Aksel. No one else has such red hair. May I have this dance?" White didn't wait for him to reply but, grabbed his hand and pulled him out onto the dance floor. He pulled Aksel close and began to dance to the classical music that was playing. "I over heard your little discussion with Nigel. Do you really want to know what's going on in this school?"

Every hair on Aksel Von Rozen's body shot up to stand on end at the strangers touch. Okay,so Aksel knew he was good looking enough to actually warrant gay admirers, and he normally didn't have issues with most guys like that but THIS WAS NOT COOL!

He would have punched the touchy pretty boy in the face if hes hand's weren't currently being held in a grip that he was sure even bear traps weren't capable of. He was about to say some very colorful things to the stranger but fell silent at his questions.

He finally relaxed and allowed the man to lead the dance. As a new song, a tango, came on over the speakers. The tempo changed and Aksel jumped to take the lead this time. Taking correct form he lead his mysterious date through the steps.

"How do I know you'll give me what I'm looking for?" He asked seriously. He wasn't liking the vibe this guy gave and he wasn't about to just trust him.

White felt him struggle against his grip until he mentioned what had been going on and relaxed his own grip on Aksel. White had been leading the dance so far so, when the song changed he gladly let Aksel take the lead on this one. When Aksel asked his question white had no reply other than, "You don't." and smiled at the pretty boy.

Aksel scowled, not happy with that response. As the song finished he let go of the stranger and took a step back.

He smirked his trademark smile.

"Sorry handsome, I've got enough troublesome variables in my little equation." And he turned his back on the dark haired male, "If you want another date you better sort out whether or not you really want me."

And he walked away, back towards the tables and took a seat at an empty one towards the back but close enough to watch the door for when his original prey walked in.

White allowed him to go but, watched him as he sat at one of the tables. White went to sit next to him. He didn't say anything. He just sat there, starring at Aksel. Just before Aksel's breaking point, White placed a needle, full of a clear liquid, on the table in front of them. He stayed silent but, allowed a smile to creep across his face.

Aksel looked at the needle. Then his steel eyes went to stare straight at the stranger beside him.

"You can't buy me." He snorted, believing the syringe on the table to be a drug. He smiled then, feeling particularly sarcastic at the moment, "And sex with me is better if you're sober."

Aksel wasn't sure what the deal was with this guy but it was beginning to rub on his nerves. He took a quick glance around the room in hopes of finding the school's director or another school staff member. Even if he didn't trust them at the moment he knew he wouldn't be able to handle this guy alone, or for much longer.

"It's not a drug Aksel. It's the next step in our evolution." White smiled at him. "Still want to blow me off?" White placed the needle back in his pocket. "You seek answers. I have answers. I seek a partner. I'm going to take over the world using The Next Step. What do you think? Interested?"

'The world...?' Aksel had to choke back the laugh that wanted to erupt from his throat but the look in the stranger's eyes made him rethink his original thought of the man being insane.

Well, not fully but not as bad as he thought he might have been.

He straightened in his chair then turned to face the other man head on. He cocked his head to the side and crossed his legs. His hands folded themselves in his lap. Aksel Von Rozen had entered into his 'business' facade. Now he was interested. Now he wanted answers and now he would find a way to get them.

"The world?" He questioned the male, watching his every move. Every. Single. One.

"Alright, let's say I'm interested." And he smiled again, his grey eyes actually looking just like the steel they resembled, "What's in it for me?"

"What is it that you desire?" Now that he had Aksel's attention, White was feeling good about him. He would lead White's army into battle. Aksel would be White's champion.

Aksel thought for a moment, then smirked again.

"I want 1/3rd of everything." He told him, then added, "And I want Rexel Knightly to be mine."

White looked at the boy. A strange request, he had expected far less. He only wants a third and his sister. "Alright then." White placed the needle in front of Aksel on the table. "What do you want to know?"

Aksel smirked, he knew he wasn't asking for much but he really was a simple guy when it came down to it. One third of the world to call his own and the only human being he had ever been able to connect with beside him. He didn't worry about her feelings for the moment, knowing that after some time she would come to terms with her fate.

He then leaned forward onto the table and closer to his new partner.

"Everything. From what your plans are to what this...," he pointed toward the needle, "is. I want to know what the fuck is up with that sleaze of a Head Master and most importantly how we start this little coup."

He paused for a second before cocking his head again, causing his beautiful red locks to fall forward into his face, "But let's start with your real motives, shall we?"

"My motives are simple. I like to create chaos. It's soothing to me." White pointed to the needle, "That, is just what I told you. It's the future of mankind. It awakens the powers hidden deep within yourself. Nigel and myself are the first. Of course we didn't use artificial means, we were born like this. I have myself under control. Nigel, on the other hand, well, let's just say he's rather unstable." White smiled at Aksel.

"What's the guarantee that others won't lose themselves like Nigel?" He asks, "And what does it do exactly?"

"Well, I'm actually hoping that will happen. You see, it'll give the rest of the population a reason to trust in us. As for what it does, I can't say exactly. The results are different for everyone." White gave Aksel a curious look. "I'm surprised you're not more interested in Nigel. You did have a rather heated discussion in his office."

(For Kira)

Rina smiled brightly at Kira as she walked past him into the dance room and waited for him to catch up to her. The room was packed and the music was playing so loud she almost couldn't hear herself think. She was sure if she didn't wait she would get lost.

Rina took another look at her date here and felt a blush come over her. She really was beginning to like Kira more and more, but something else made her realize that she was liking him more than a friend.

She had heard Kira say that he liked her but she still wasn't sure if it was as a friend or as a girl. And she really didn't want to lose his friendship just because she couldn't control her own emotions.

Aksel looked back at the man, "I think my own safety is the one in the red at the moment my good man. That fucker can wait."

He picked up the needle careful not to prick himself on it and began to examine it.

"Your riddles are beginning to get annoying White." He finally admitted, "You want a partner then I need clearer answers than your half-assed responses."

"I'm sorry I can't be any clearer, Aksel. I cannot say for certain what will happen. All I do know is that you fall unconscious for two hours and when you wake you have power. Should I demonstrate the sort of power I speak of?"

"Show me." Was all Aksel said in response.

"Think of your favorite material item. Something that you can only buy in a few places around the world. What have you thought of and where is it?"
